Thanks to followup--not to nitpick but that's the project number.

If people don't have the project number to search by a wildcard address usually works... I did 8?? N 1st Ave to see what was going on in the 800 block.

They're still in civil. Building permit has been submitted but not approved.

I meant project #. Was just in a hurry and not paying attention to what I typed

I went for a long walk this morning and snapped a whole bunch of pictures of downtown. Enjoy!

Container building structure at 3rd St and McKinley
Forgot the name of this one!

Yea, it's pretty much almost to where it was before it was burned down.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but final building plans came in for the Henri Apartments at the NWC of 5th Ave and Van Buren. It's a Toll Brothers project. I don't know much other than what was listed with the pre-app, and note things may have changed since then: NEW 6 STORY MULTI FAMILY DEVELOPMENT WITH AMENITIES &4 STORY MULTI FAM STACKED FLATS ON TOP OF 2
LEVELS OF PARKING STRUCTURES PLUS TOWNHOME UNITS AT GRADE ALONG 6TH AVE. PARKING STRUCTURE CONSISTS OF 2 LEVELS ABOVE
GRADE PLUS A PARTIAL SUB GRADE LEVEL.. TOTAL OF 230 UNITS.

It's project number 17-2129. Regardless if you think it's tall enough or interesting enough to look at, another vacant lot bites the dust.

This one has actually been a slow burner for a LOOOOONG time. Just like toll brothers projects in midtown that finally took off. There was an old warehouse there, conveniently burnt down years ago.

Hopefully the movement with Toll will be more widespread its a major developer and they just land banked us for like 20 years until now, if they see rewards for urban development expect much more.

At first I thought IndyAZ worked at the City but it turned out it sounds like he's just well connected with developers. Sounds like Chestnut1 works at the City, yes/no?

Thanks for the info... I am looking forward to this one. There are several restaurants and venues on VB west of Central that would love the additional nearby residents.

Well, once Toll Brothers gets moving they seem to move fast. The Indian School one is moving pretty quickly, I can see them from my balcony everyday working, even weekends. And the one on Thomas says it arrives Summer 2022 but they seem to be moving ahead of schedule. I wouldn’t be surprise to see that one open 1st quarter next year.

Toll Brothers didn't bank that one for 20 years--although they did hold the midtown one from about 2007. They got the 5th ave lot within the last few years but stalled on it like they did everything else. I was annoyed as hell with this one and didn't think it'd ever move.

If you go to google streetview you can see a *very* old house on that lot, definitely a Territorial and predated the first sanborn maps of the 1890s i think. I emailed some preservationists but they didn't seem that interested in it in its last days. Lot of history on that whole parcel...completely obliterated now and lost until I get the bug to do a story on it one day.

I'd rather see some height where they could do it but these lots aren't in particular demand, especially on the west side of downtown. Definitely an improvement from that industrial garbage before, house or no house.

Do you know if there is retail? Would definitely make sense to have some retail along Van Buren. I think it will look good there, with The Van Buren there and everything. It needs at least a coffee shop.

Nope. And its 7-stories now, plus one underground parking level. Don't expect it to move fast, I think its a low priority for them and only moving because prelim approval had a fast approaching expiration date.

Just drove by and they've already begun demolition. They're moving pretty quick.

Another 18-acre site being developed into multi-family residential, 4-story and 515 units. Near Sky Harbor on the SWC of 48th St and Washington.

For those having to returns items at the Amazon Hub Locker, you know exactly which empty lot this is lol
