For anyone interested in opening the link (the image would not copy/paste), this is QANTAS overseas network in 1960. Vancouver is there, as a spur heading on to San Francisco.

Transborder update for September. Big increase over August and more increases and route resumptions planned for October.
Total of 197 flights next week and 204 the week after next. 78 mainline.
Flights per week by airline and equipment used:

AIR CANADA 112 flights per week

LAX 21 7M8
PHX 7 20
PDX 14 DH4
SAN 7 CR9

And in just 2 days BA resumes LHR-YVR with two flights operating on Tuesday.
British, Lufthansa, KLM, Air France, Turkish and Air Canada flying YVR-Europe again.

Had a crack at longhaul intl for September.
16 carriers operating longhaul flights - approx 74 per week.
This is next week’s intl longhaul network for YVR (flights per week):

AC PVG 2 (flights still operate via ICN - operated in addition to the ICN flights)

Along with KL681 AMS, LH492 FRA, AC861 LHR, TK75 IST, LH476 MUC and AF74 CDG all on their way from Europe as we speak.

2-3x weekly AF74/75 CDG-YVR-PPT, with the segment between CDG and YVR open for reservation. This is scheduled to increase back to 3x weekly in October before moving back to LAX in November

Well, it could be a fun fall season trying to book any trans-border flights that were to be or have just been re-established. Within 24 hours of booking a non-stop flight to NYC with AC in latter October, the flight was then cancelled. Good times!

Yup! My YYC-IAH-MSY flight in November was cancelled and changed to YYC-YYZ-MSY. If the YYZ-MSY leg is cancelled then I don't know what to do.

It feels like AC is macro-hubbing its transborder connections through Toronto and Montreal. Now as long as my non-stop Vancouver-Chicago doesn't get pulled, I'll consider that a bonus?

It looks like Flair Airlines plans to increase flight ✈️ frequencies out of Edmonton, Calgary, Kelowna, Winnipeg, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, & Montreal airport’s in Canada. There must be demand in these 8 cities for them!

So far, the AC Chicago non-stop still seems to be running, but I'd be curious why an early morning flight has been consistently late departing, as much as 2.5 hours (yesterday).

For YVR, flight to YYC and YYZ increased to daily, YEG to 7x weekly, YUL to 4x weekly. Of course this is taking away flights to YXE, YQR, and YMM.. which is now either cancelled or summer seasonal.

There seem to be quite a few delays with all the airlines trying to recover. Hopefully, (but I doubt it) it'll get better in a few weeks.

The weird thing I seem to be seeing via Flightaware is that the AC morning departure to Chicago can't be late because of a late inbound plane beforehand. The plane appears to sit overnight in Vancouver before its morning departure.

The only reasonable explanation I can think of would be bad weather in Chicago, which would delay a departure from here until they're cleared to go. Otherwise, perhaps I'm not well versed in other reasons for the delays.

EDIT: I've not faced any lengthy delays departing for domestic flights out of Vancouver.

That's a good point. Seems a bit odd, considering those first morning flights should be the least delayed ones.
