Usually Darko moves the crane from one construction site to another. Perhaps more activity will begin at 366 King Street West? I know the hotel got fully approved, but I'm not sure about the proposed residential building.

Drove by there yesterday and there were a lot of workers prepping or doing some sort of work on the residential building base. My guess is this crane is moving there!
This actually had potential but fell FLAT... as in a flat roof ...just like every other mediocre new build so far ... even a few floors stepped up top would have been soo nice ...and maybe some nice roof top lighting...

I didn't expect much. Vranich is the local king of "dollarama" developments. I give him full credit for being at the vanguard of this wave of downtown development though.
I haven't been inside any of his other buildings, but the similarly mediocre Homewood Suites is nice inside.
Went by the other day, and they've installed glass on the first floor of the back. It looks better with it, but I can't recall if this is more commercial space or parking space.
While I don’t love this project and everyone else in the forum seems to hate it I feel everything about it could have been improved if the “seizure Windows” were just aligned. There is no need to be gimmicky. Anyway, what’s done is done and I believe before that glass went in it looked like it was not intended for parking. Who knows? Maybe doctors office or similar but more than likely it will remain empty. It’s not the worst he’s built.

So uhm... Odd, but on Urban Solutions plans it shows this empty space at the back of the building as... Storage? It even has a mezzanine level above the first floor...
Those are the initial rezoning plans from 2017, the building has changed quite a bit since then. The "storage" label is definitely playing a game of some sort.
I suspect it will be retail or office, perhaps Vrancor wants to move his offices here off of King St.
Has anyone heard any target occupancy date for this one?
Well it's going to be rental, so I assume similar to the Marquee it will suddenly pop up on rental sites. Perhaps Urbanicity will be advertising it again, though I doubt it as the area is not as hip as the Marquee.
They have been applying another coat of stain/paint on to the precast, which brings the look of the tower element from a "good god, please make it stop" to a solid "well, I suppose I can live with it."
This shot shows the difference that the staining makes pretty well.
The podium and ground floor of this one really are an unmitigated disaster, though.
It does create a nice enough burst of height on the skyline, though.
this tower looks like a school art project you put off doing, then had to scramble to get done the night before.. and you couldn't find all your materials in one store, so you had to scramble to find your materials and make significant compromises.. all the while hoping at the very least for C- grade
I walk past this building a lot and I want to vomit. It truly is an embarrassment and this building will age horribly and become an even worse eyesore in a couple decades than it already is! 30-35yrs and I bet it gets the wrecking ball. This stretch will be lined with shiny beautiful new skyscrapers by then and this stumpy dump will have people demanding it get torn down for something better, taller and fits with the new tall dense, clean & modern area!
