From the south (31st st beach especially) this building really stands out..it shows no setbacks from that angle and distance, but it has really nice proportions
There are 6 towers that meet this category, so not a ton of competition.

As for me, I'd go with this ranking:

1) St Regis
2) NEMA
3) One Chicago
4) 110 N Wacker
5) Legacy at Millennium Park
6) One Bennett Park

For me I'd significantly change that ranking:
1) Legacy
2) NEMA
3) St. Regis
4) One Bennett
5) One Chicago
6) 110 N Wacker

If One Chicago had more (any) appeal from the South and North it'd rank much higher.

this is the only truth:

1) NEMA
2) One Chicago
3) One Bennett
4) Legacy

...hmmm, did I leave something off? BTW, I live in East Pilsen with an awesome view of the skyline.. the BMO tower, regardless of its height issues and such, is an absolute jewel

This thing is jaw-dropping amazing when viewed while riding the Brown Line or UP-N. Seriously, this building really added the necessary depth and height the Near North Side skyline has been lacking.

Aqua may have been completed a few months before Trump Tower. People are listing 800+ footers completed since Trump Tower.

This is why I left it out as it was finished essentially at the same time.

They finished around the same time but Trump Tower was under construction way before Aqua.

I would go with
1. Legacy
2. NEMA
3. Aqua
4. One Chicago
5. St. Regis
6. 110
7. OBP

And agree that BMO would be near the top of the list if it were 800+

4. Legacy
5. NEMA
6. One Bennett Park
7. 110 N Wacker

Was driving up LaSalle today with some friends. With the clear weather, and the complete cladding up to the top, I love the building even more.

It really is a beautiful addition to the skyline, and by far my favorite addition to the skyline in this boom. I know Vista is taller, and it's beautiful, but this building has such a significant impact on the skyline given its prominence. Cheers to the architects and designers!

nicely settling in as the newest member of the skyline.

the 3rd tallest roof height built in chicago during my lifetime (born in '76, just after the "big 3").

Yeah I agree it immediately looks like it just belongs here. I took this picture on Saturday during the Blue Angels show.

Yeah, this building looks great. Saw it coming in on the Metra this past weekend, great addition to the skyline.

This view I think does not do it justice, definitely looks better from east/west. I wish that visible setback from this view was a little higher and more pronounced to give it some texture. But i still love it. Just my 2 cents.

I love how sheer and flat the roof looks.

Although the addition of a 29 foot flag pole would not upset me too much...

The second image gives a sense of how strong an addition to the skyline 300 North LaSalle really is.

I think it has been underrated.

Beautiful. Second pic looks like a giant Tsumani is headed for Chicago.

The east+west profiles are definitely superior to the north+south, the latter of which makes the building appear too monolithic, which isn't a plus.
