I know people who've flown them on other non-Regina routes. They seem fine.

Understand that they are very budget-oriented so there are additional charges for everything beyond having the right to sit on the aircraft, even, if I recall correctly, carry-on bags (I think you can, without paying, bring a personal item that goes under the seat in front of you, but bags in the overhead bins cost extra, as do checked bags).

For me, they'd be great for a weekend getaway but I think AC/WS would be better choices when you actually need to bring anything substantial with you.

Same here. If you've got the time to book around their schedule they're great. I've priced them out multiple times and their pricing is stellar, although I've never been able to make their schedule work. I hear that their planes are new and clean and its hard to knock them. If you know in advance you're going to have to buy beer and chips its not such a bad thing right?

No I have not used Flair Airlines and but heard their prices are affordable. But looking at Summer 2021 Flair flights on flight tracking websites, show they been usually “Late” to their destinations in Canada!

But I have Mainly flown with Air Canada, WestJet in Canada.
Also on few International airlines like: China Southern, China Eastern, Air China,Cathay Pacific and Alaska Airlines in the US.

Great thanks everyone! They have better prices than both west jet and air Canada for the flight I'm looking at including all the extra charges so may try them!

Looks like Sunwing Airlines ✈️ plans to add Saskatoon and Regina, Canada (seasonal) sun destinations this upcoming winter starting December 2021.

One downside to watch: if they need to cancel the flight, they have fewer flights out of Regina (and Saskatoon) than WestJet and Air Canada have. A cancellation of YQR-YYZ on AC or WS could be made up by routing you through Winnipeg. Flair won't have as many alternatives.

If the price is lower enough and your schedule is flexible enough, this may not matter. But if it does, you may be better paying a little more with one of the others.

Air Canada Rouge To Restart Services

Back in Air Canada Rouge’s schedule is Regina in Saskatchewan. AC1695 leaves Toronto at 08:50 every morning and heads west to Regina (YQR). Flying time on the A321-200 operating the flight is three hours and 19 minutes. AC1695 lands in Regina at 10:09. After 90 minutes on the ground, AC1694 departs YQR at 11:40 and lands back in YYZ at 16:31.

Refurbished Air Canada Rouge A321-200s soon to start flying. Air Canada Rouge is deploying its A321-200 aircraft on all five routes. Nine of the airline’s A321-200s are undergoing cabin refurbishments. Air Canada Rouge says the first of the refurbished aircraft will take to the skies imminently.

Interesting. Air Canada must be losing some passengers to Flair's service from YQR to YYZ on their new Boeing 737 Max 8's? Hopefully this LLC competition gives us some great fares for a change.

This is strictly a pilot and attendant shortage. Both Westjet and Air Canada are trying to recall staff, but it is taking a while. This one flight takes over for two morning flights from YYZ that were coming to YQR. My guess is this is short lived as they bring Rouge back on line after not flying since last spring. They will have to get the pilots and attendants for Rouge back for the winter seasonal flights down south.

Yeah, that makes sense. When does AC do anything great for YQR?

Flying with Air Canada "Rude" isn't something I'd wish on anyone...

No Air Canada doesn’t have to get AC Rouge flights to South that quickly as similar to last winter, this upcoming winter season most AC’s US/ International flights ✈️ are out of Toronto Vancouver, Montreal & Calgary - which most of it will be on AC’s Mainline & with a limited amount of them on AC Rouge.

Plus with Pandemic still on going, Canada’s smaller& not as busy airports like Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Halifax,Regina, Saskatoon, Kelowna, Victoria & Quebec City etc, will get very limited US/ International on Air Canada or on WestJet too!

Yes Probably Air Canada AC is losing some passengers on Regina- Toronto to both Flair & WestJet or same goes with Flair & WestJet losing some passengers to AC too.

That’s what competition in Airlines is about & plus competitive fares on flight routes!

Sure Flair Airlines has the new Boeing 737 Max planes ✈️ but that Not the reason why.

Flair is a very different experience from AC and WS. And their schedule is nowhere nearly as good.

If they work for you, they're the cheapest way to go. But it's a very basic experience at the lowest price. Any carry-on or checked bags or seat selection add to the price.

Personally, unless I had tons of date flexibility (which I rarely do), I will prefer AC (even WS isn't quite as flexible as they usually only have one or two daily flights to Toronto versus three to five a day in normal times with AC). But many do have flexibility, so that's what options are about.

I didn't say they were flying south from Regina. I said they need to bring their planes and staff back on line to get ready for the winter season. This is a way for them to start ramping up by bringing a Rouge flight here, and of course some other places like Vegas and Orlando.

Not surprising!

With the Coronavirus Pandemic still on going around the World, there are still Entry restrictions & passengers demand for International flights ✈️in Canada is not great, means all Airlines need to connect Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal & Calgary Canada’s 4 busiest Hubs 1st, before worrying about smaller airports like Saskatoon and Regina.

I've noticed that Air Canada often substitutes in smaller capacity aircrafts on certain routes. The A321 Regina to Toronto rouge at around 11 am is often downsized to either an A319 on Saturdays I notice, and even one of those embraer a couple times. E175. I've also noticed a lot of very small CRJ200 on Vancouver routes instead of regular CRJ900s.
