Yeah, if the stadium were actually taller, then maybe the Northern Lights display would remain visible above the surrounding buildings

Hm, I guess they are building towers 1 and 2 before starting on tower 3?

Anyone know where does all the dirt from these massive excavations get transported to? This project alone must make for a small hill somewhere...

I believe they very slowly fill in the ocean.

I was in the sales centre yesterday picking my unit and was told they are all being built at the same time with tower 1 and 3 finished 6-12 months ahead of tower 2(The tallest).

Now I start the 3 to 4 years of anticipation

Great form and pictures BTW

Hm, it looks to me like the currently under contstruction structures are only Tower 1 and 2. I might be wrong.

Assume they are finishing up work around the guideways and then they'll start excavation? Since it's the shortest tower it probably might finish around the same as Tower 1..

I came back from the presentation centre and in terms of price, gilmore place is still pretty good. You can get a unit with no parking for 590k and with parking for 660k. Bosa is charging 700k for these units at their central park house.

Right next to the skytrain as well.

I wouldn’t say $70k for a parking spot is good. What are you getting for that price?

674k for 1bedroom 565sqft on the 20th floor w/ parking
585k for 1bedroom 550sqft on the 7th floor with NO parking

I personally thought the parking wasn't worth it but honestly, the prices were more affordable than concord or bosa even with parking. Concord Brentwood was charging similar prices while the location was not as good. Concord Metro was 700k for 520sqft and parking. Prices are insane right now for presales. I didn't end up buying though since I still had a few more places to look at but definitely in my top 3 right now.

Maybe controversial to some but IMHO Central Park House has a much more appealing location with Central Park next door as well as Patterson Station. Even views will be better for mosy units thanks to location on a ridge. West Brentwood is a deadzone for any outdoor activities and the amount of green space is badly lacking.

Bosa projects are always overpriced, won't make any profit in the end but the quality will be pretty decent.

I also think this project has cheaper units because of its sheer size and density. When you build taller, you put in a lot more units, and hence cost per unit goes down.

If that's the case, then we gotta go higher.

That's not true at all once you get past the 40fl mark. The higher you build, the more each unit costs due to how much longer it takes to complete each floor. There are probably other factors as to why this project is cheaper to buy.

As for reducing costs, building a lot of this would help:

the reputation and quality of Onni play a role as well. If you Google or search on Reddit about the developer, it's probably the most hated in Vancouver. Only behind Westbank.

If Gilmore place was being sold by Concord or Beedie, it will 100% be sold out by now.
