No I mean like all middle cars. The Mark IIIs have those end cars.

Seems like a waste of additional/moving parts to me, just slap that large front window in front.

just say you want a more boxy, big-city subway design and do away with the curved front ends

Totally modular and universal, walk through entire train back to front.

Even the Toronto Rocket subway cars have a front and back car with a sloping face.
I think what he means is a flat face with a door to jump out the back -like DB Cooper
- and univeral for marshalling and assembling trains.

An idea to connect major population centres outside of Metro Vancouver with Vancouver, as a way to fill in for the lack of Greyhound. This also connects to Calgary.

Yes, I know some of them hit areas that have very little population and where everyone drives, but they're just corridors accounting for any possible future.

Perhaps I am the only one, but I am getting an "access denied" page when I click onto it. Are you able to adjust and refresh the link? I would love to check out your work .

You are not.

Change it to allow anyone with the link, then repost the link.

Link works.

As far as routes, I would suggest making certain cities hub cities and have routes fan out from there.

Yeah I'll have to figure that out. Might have to go via population or something, maybe reorganize local transit routes in those areas.

Let's use VI connecting to Vancouver. A bus that goes from Vancouver and does all the island is not ideal. However, having a bus do Vancouver-Victoria, Vancouver-Naniamo, Victoria Port Alberni, and Victoria-Port Hardy would make a lot of sense.

Maybe Vancouver-Tsawwassen and Victoria-Swartz Bay. I doubt BC Transit execs wants to pay their drivers to just "sit on the ferry and drink coffee for two hours."

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, use the ferry terminals as transfer points.

Vancouver really needs express buses to the ferry terminals.

Yes. Not on the ferries themselves, which is implied by Vancouver-Victoria.

Agreed. Mind you,, in the CRD, there already exist those buses. Not really the case in the Lower Mainland.

The 620 definitely needs an upgrade. But anything faster or more frequent than the 257 has to go through West Van, so that's not happening.
