If you haven't seen the new Brown Bag Seafood addition at Colony Square, it's very good.

Really excited to see what else Colony Square brings in.

It's the spot of the architecture firm that used to be next to San Francisco Coffee on N. Highland.

Building permit filed at 1180 Peachtree for "Pour Taproom - Electrical renovation of existing space, new lights, receptacles, & connections for restaurant use."

I assume this is the former TAP space. There's an existing Pour Taproom on the Beltline South of Midtown.

That's exciting. I think I ate at TAP once and remember it being just alright.

Yeah the food and drink were okay, service always made you feel like you were a hassle. Space inside is so cool though, I love the bathroom up on that glass catwalk thingy.

It's Pour and MixedUp Burgers combined...signs are already up.

All of the planning in the world doesn't matter if you're just going to throw it out the window for a drive thru restaurant.

The BeltLine deserves credit for fighting this to the end, they really tried. Their huge pushback at least forced a redesign, pushing the drive-thru to the back of the property instead of having it street facing. The City sadly overruled them in allowing this to be built. Everything isn't as cut and dried as some make it out to be.

Ponce is a major thoroughfare for vehicles. Always has been. And it isn't right by the Beltline. Is the thought that land-use in this area will change to such a great degree in a decade or so that a drive-through shouldn't be allowed though there are several examples of exactly that all around the site already?

Happens in other cities on their major thoroughfares, too. Even in the transit-oriented ones. Going along Burnside in Portland last week I saw a Taco Bell drive-thru, McDonalds drive-thru, and drive-thru car wash all within a few blocks.

The drive-thru Dunkin' in Poncey-Highlands would have been a bigger problem.
