The two parking lots at Canterbury and Princess must be on someone's radar, particularly the northern of them. Same with the gaping hole at 83 Germain, which is crying out for infill.

RBC branch on King Street is moving to the Mercantile Centre in July.
Wow, really? That's a big vacancy on that corner if they're leaving the entire building, and the only major bank to not be located on King Street now, seems surprising.

That seems out of the way and a tad inconvenient - although for the most part, you don't actually need to visit an in-person branch for bank transactions nowadays - although having an RBC ATM uptown was always handy.

Definitely. The King Street location is in a far more pedestrian friendly area and even if you’re driving there, free parking is about a block or two away. Not only that but it’s closer to the residents of uptown/south end/waterloo and office employees. I really can’t come up with any positives for the location at the Mercantile.
The application submitted to city for amendment for top of King Street is for 55 metres - which is the same height as City Hall and slightly higher than the 15 story Brentwood Tower in Millidgeville. So will Percy be going for a 15 or 16 story building instead of 12?
