My guess is the future will be after they finish concourse A completely and what they are currently working on on concourse B.

Then shortly after that future expansion is done, they will likely start on concourse C. Long story short, airport construction may not be completely finished for many years to come (just a guess, no inside knowledge).

Actually, I think they added more gates at entire concourse B east. They will build more gate for Delta Connection. It won't be build new concourse C yet. Not yet.

Flew through the new airport for the first time this week, and I think they were very wrong about the prediction that it would take 2-3 years to rebound from Covid. My flight out to Boston was completely full. Few home through NYC on a much bigger plane (the ones that fly internationally) and it too was full. I know this is purely anecdotal, but it seems to me that with the decision to completely demolish the old airport and move ahead with the next phases will prove too optimistic. I think the new airport will be quickly overwhelmed until they get the next terminal open.

Agreed. There was an article yesterday (maybe KSL) that talked about how they're expecting more passengers this summer than before COVID started. Crazy how quickly things are rebounding.

More news at SLC. A second Starbucks is open near gate A10.

There used to be a park and wait lot with large electronic signs informing you on what flights were arriving. Did they get rid of that lot or move it somewhere else? The airport website seems to indicate there is one located southeast of the terminal. I was waiting to pick someone up yesterday and had to circle the terminal about 6 times and never found the lot. People were trying to park on the right side of street but security would make them move.

So, they spent $3,200 on a robot to deliver your food, while a human is also being paid to just walk alongside the robot and do nothing? I'm getting visions of the movie Office Space... "what would you say, ya do here?"

I also flew out of SLC for the first time last week. I thought the seating area at the gates was supposed to be considerably larger than before. The areas didn't seem larger at all to me.

As for not letting people park on the street, the traffic cop, or whatever, literally made my friend leave the moment he pulled up. I walked out of the terminal only 30 seconds later and had to wait several minutes for him to circle back. This is a complete joke. I would've just taken the train home, but since the pandemic started Frontrunner isn't running as late as normal and I arrived pretty late.

I think they're doing that because a lot of people have been complaining about the inverse of that.......that too many people are just sitting there taking up room and clogging everything up. I guess we can't have our cake and eat it too?

People are getting so hyped up about this silly robot. Note the article states,
"Gita is in Salt Lake City for three months, unless the airport decides to keep her based on her success." Or in other words, the makers of the robot are trying to get airports to buy them, unless it is somehow a huge success (which I doubt...) SLC will not likely be spending anything on the robot.
