I thought the same - unless they plan to change it?
They've gotten rid of the marble aggregate panelling on the Granville side,
and a lot of this wall is associated with the former Four Seasons on the 3rd level above street.

it is possible since they have removed others. does anyone know if the hotel project involves that big of a scope? i didn't even think the hotel was worth it; never seemed like a very high end place to me.

i was always a fan of the white marble panels personally. (when kept clean). i generally found they helped brighten up the area. Vancouver is always dark/grey/rainy for so much of the year, the bright white helped with that. though its been awhile of neglect, so now its ugly; sad.

Agreed that the marble is a nice finish (if kept clean) - same on Scotia Tower.

The Four Seaons meeting rooms and back of house went all the way to Dunsmuir on the level above the upper mall.

All that staining was due to the vines they let grow down the sides of the walls but they cut away most of it last fall on the Howe Street side.

and in the TD Tower lobby renovation they've revealed the original brass frames around the elevators. It's unclear whether those will be restored or covered over again.

They look different from the round raised pedestal paver system. Sort of look cubic.
