Am I the only one who thinks they are over emphasizing the value of Lincoln Fields as a transfer station? The primary transfers I see happening there are:

Between Abbott, DND and the Kanata Tech Park in the west, Algonquin College and City of Ottawa offices at Algonquin, I think we'll see a very high volume of cross-platform transfers every day. It might even see it in the PM, with people jumping on the first train they see downtown and transferring at LF to wait for their branch train.

I would expect transfers at Algonquin will be higher than Columbia Station in Vancouver or any equivalent in Calgary or Edmonton.

It is quite something how Queensview station is being well designed to provide decent pedestrian access despite its location by the highway, but no such design considerations are in place in Orleans.

Really? The Orleans Blvd overpass is getting a pretty major road diet with a MUP and cycle track:

I think Jeanne d'Arc and Champlain (at Place d'Orleans) are getting new MUPs across the highway as well.

I think the big difference is that Queensview isn't located at a vehicle overpass.

Interesting technique being used to build a tunnel for the Brightline in Florida. Something like this would have been interesting for the Parkway corridor.

I think they did something similar for the GTA with an expansion of a GO Line. But this kind of tunnel really sits on the surface, you can't tunnel deep in Florida due to a very high groundwater line and unstable limestone.

Went by the Richmond woodroffe intersection today and they have started excavating the soil leading up to the sidewalk on woodroffe in preparation of 13 day closure to dig under woodroffe.
