the Parkade of 1500 W Georgia has been closed since mid January. They’ve been installing a grade beam on the P2 level to carry the east row of columns of the existing office tower. Sign in the lobby says mid 2019 excavation, so fingers crossed.

Good news. Thanks. This is going to be such an outstanding building when it's finished. The city of course amputated a couple of arms and forced lower height, but it still has great presence.
It will be part and parcel of that new group of buildings at and around the entrance to Stanley Park on Georgia, and they will "synergize," the city entrance, in a few years time.
Exciting times ahead.

Might be time to wake this thread up.

I was getting some shots of the Kengo Kuma tower and noticed some renovations happening to the small building at the 1500 West Georgia site (at the east end of the reflecting pool). I'm guessing they are preparing a sales centre?

Probably, Bosa has been gearing up to launch this for a while and all things point to this project being their next build in the city.

It's 'coming soon' on the Bosa Properties website, and is called Fifteen Fifteen. They've switched their Thurlow towers to rental, so that project could proceed as well.

Still bummed about the height reduction but this is still among the coolest projects in Downtown.

With Deloitte Summit as an example of cantilevered boxes, I wonder how much the diagonal bracing will show through the glazing and whether it will 'marr' the appearance of the design?

The boxes are so far up I doubt it'll be as noticeable from the ground.

More or less confirmation this is happening still? I was concerned this was pulled with no news on it for so long.

This one was always going to go ahead, just a timing issue. High end market had slowed down for a few years but it seems to be back so time for this one to test its sales.

Bosa seems to be gearing towards relaunching this project, as they have been posting teasers on social media and the website. Few of these have not been posted here before.

Funny how they have re-rendered the exterior shot now with Cardero on the left side. I guess it makes the neighborhood appear more modern?

Trump Tower in the back looks like it is missing a part of its top, as it cannot look that flat, does it? They should have given it a proper crown feature.

Is that probably the most uncomfortable and unnecessary couch at the back?

Well, it is another Bosa project, so it doesn't hurt to reference it. They've taken a few liberties with the background. There's what looks like a 16 storey brick building where Robert Stern's 43 and 48 storey towers are approved, and of course Georgian Towers to the east has a tower replacement proposal as well, although that hasn't been rezoned yet.

Presales will begin in October 2021, with construction expected to complete in 2027. The Observatory Residences are located on the mid and upper floors and feature cantilevered living spaces. The tower’s four penthouses will be three storeys and feature numerous balconies.

Shouldn't the pink granite Cheng building be behind it, and The Alberni also behind and to the west?

The skateboard park in the living room was a bold choice.

Beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the execution on this, specifically what appears to be low iron glass.

I have a friend who is working on this project and they’ve mentioned that the interest in this development has been extremely high, which is likely why it’s moving full steam ahead.

Good to hear, but it took them six years to get this going, so not very fast. Following the design change, I don't find this the most exciting project in the area anymore. That title goes to Kengo Kuma's tower next door, although it is a Westbank building. Turning out nice so far.
