Why not tell them yourself during the public comments at the May 4th CDR meeting? Here's the agenda and instructions for joining the meeting via Zoom: https://www.phila.gov/media/20210423171730/CDR-Agenda_050421-3.pdf

…and here's the CDR submission from whence the rendering came: https://www.phila.gov/media/20210423091322/CDR_4401-RIdge-Avenue_May-4-2021-Review_2.pdf

…and the previous CDR submission, in case you'd like to compare: https://www.phila.gov/media/20210323134106/CDR_4401-Ridge-Ave_April-6-2021-Review.pdf

I didn't find anything on this project in the CDR Board's posted comments from the previous meeting. I was wondering whether the color change was in response to feedback at that meeting.

Even through the pandemic, University City remains a hotbed of development.

Just a puff piece on UCity and its goings-ons. No doubt put out so people can read this the same day Biden is set to speak at 30th St about investing in Amtrak. Like I said, really hoping we can get a big federal commitment on executing the 30th Street Station District. It's a no-brainer for this Administration.

I'm looking forward to some day, maybe within the decade, of being able do underground in a clean, bright, rational passageway from the SEPTA stop to the station. Is that asking too much? If the feds are going to spend BIG money on the trains I hope its a plan based on what works already---the NE--and builds off that. Starting a slow speed train from Denver to St. Paul just doesn't do much for me. (or whatever the latest nonsense calls for!)

County level population numbers will be released next week (May 4th), which will show us Philadelphia's population.

Given the big misses on CB population estimates for states all along the BOS-WASH corridor as evidenced in last weeks state releases, anyone want to venture a guess on the over under for Philadelphia?

Last estimate for Philly was 1.584 million in the 2020 ACS for 2019.

I'm gonna say it will be a minimum of 1.625 million, potentially as high as 1.650 million.

Voter registration in the last election correlates with a population of at least 1.625.

Saw portions of this on Columbus Blvd off the I-95 exit all the way up to Spruce St intersection. Pretty nice job on the paved trails and it included landscaping adjacent to the trails. This will turn out really good with the softscaping.

Yes it looks great, drove by the other day and it's moving fast. They know what they are doing, this is one of the best projects in the city right now.

it's gonna change the whole feel of the riverfront.

id be more down about all the vacant lots to the east of this than the PHA houses. I think its hilarious that out of all the unsightly issues in North Philadelphia this is what some find the most offensive and problematic. Honestly almost all housing constructed in last 20-30 years looks somewhat cheap and out of place in older neighborhoods, regardless of who built it.

has anyone posted something about this organization, dealing with North Broad street from City Hall to Eire Ave. dealing with street improvements as far as cleaning, green scaping, development, and other things. It's called "The North Broad Renaissance". On their website there is a PDF file that makes for good reading to show their plans to improve the face of North Broad street and the surrounding neighborhoods.
