Noob question. Can completion dates be phased? For example, I’ve completed my walkthrough months ago already. So once Thind gets the Occupancy Permit approved, are they able to send out the Completion notice to people who have done the walkthrough already and allow them to move in already and schedule the remaining walkthrough simultaneously? Or must they finish walkthrough s for the entire building first, and then send out completion?

I think yes, but it depends on the developer.

Images today. They’ve installed a rock/marble wall in the lobby. They’ve also added some equipment in the gym on the second level.

staggered completion is very common in high-rise developments. Typically it is floor by floor, so in this case, the owners who have completed their walkthroughs and noted deficiencies as per the guidelines will receive 2-week notices of completion in order to obtain financing and make final arrangements.

Upload them to a site like imgur or flickr and then share the links here! (at least that's what I do)

Anyone else notice the address are different for the Waterfall building?

The Notice of Completion says 2311 Beta Ave while all the contracts I signed previously said 2425 Beta Ave.

I'm concerned this might cause problems with the mortgage/legality of things.

Land Title documents go by Parcel Identifier Number ("PID") and "Legal Description" rather that "Civic Address".

So it’s okay that the address are different in the purchase contract I have with the developer vs my mortgage documents?

Should be fine, otherwise the whole building would have a problem.
But make sure to ask about it.

Very nice indeed , both the buildings and the photography ,thanks Klazu.
With the relative fast speed these 3 buildings go up, I hope their interior is as nice as the exterior.
Btw when the project was on sale, the developer mentioned that they would build a pedestrian overpass from Alaska Ave over to Costco. Wonder if they will proceed? I am always wishing for a walking short cut to Costco without having to drive, Costco parking lot frequently filled to capacity. This short cut would be incredibly convenient for Lumina and surrounding buildings, also alleviate some parking congestion at Costco. I realize pedestrian overpass would be very costly especially during time of pandemic, but can they at least clear a section for walking over the railroad?
much like Rupert or Renfrew railroad crossing, with bars lowering for trains if needed.

Looks like they're starting work on the 4th and final tower! (Eclipse)

Can someone with more construction knowledge describe what's happening in these photos and any insights/interesting things you notices?

Very curious what's happening in the back there. Why are they digging a whole and building a mound of dirt. And why did they put a crate in the hole? Also what are these 12 black tanks at the back for?

I was at Costco there the other day and a train was passing by and it makes so much squealing noise, I would not want to live in that area.
