I just saw it too. Half-hourly service on 211 and 212 until late evenings too. I wonder whether all those 211 trips will only short-turn at Phibbs or continue on to Burrard, though.
211's a weird route.
Edit: Wow even 150 gets half-hourly service now too.

Another few notes:

Trending earlier service on Saturdays/weekends such as 104, 155, 326, and 316

640 and 335 also recipients of added service

Next one is (or looks to be) an optimization:
R1 reduce to every 10 peak
321 reduce to every 15 peak
394 increase to every 20 minutes both directions
501 Peak increases along with PM peak hour Carvolth runs extended to Langley

"Doublespeak" reductions occurring on 406, 410, 555 to name a few.

Well, for it to be a "regular" bus schedule on the North Shore, they'll need to cut it to hourly in the evenings...

SeaBus Terminals Maintenance and Upgrade Project begins

As part of TransLink’s Maintenance and Upgrade Program, we’re replacing aging operational equipment at both SeaBus terminals to ensure their continued safety and reliability for years to come.

We’ll be working to replace:

• Electrical substations, transformers, panels, and back-up generators;
• Fire water lines and hose cabinets;
• CCTV systems;
• Automatic doors at the SeaBus loading bays;
• The emergency exit ramps;
• The north terminal entrance canopy; and
• Ventilation equipment in the south terminal skywalk.

Construction will begin at the Lonsdale Quay’s SeaBus terminal in April 2021 and is expected to be complete in early 2022. Construction at Waterfront Station’s SeaBus terminal will follow and is expected to be complete in summer 2022. Work will require temporary closures to areas of the terminal throughout the year, but we expect customers will experience minimal impact.

Interesting solution, because if I understand it correctly it requires no equipment on the buses themselves and therefore it should be pretty cheap and easy to implement.

From the way it's written (by omission) it would seem that the 6-minute frequency on the R1 remains in effect between 12-8pm?

No, the most you will be getting after April 12 is 7/8 buses per hour (7.5-8.5 minutes)

Right now it's really close - 9 buses/hour peak (6.5mins). This won't be for much longer though.

it is a very unique sound and i like hearing it. do the Mk3's have that sound? i have never been on one/in a station when one was there.

It's exclusive to the original LIM design found on all the MK I's and prototypes. The MK II and later electronically excites the coils differently due to vast improvements in VFD and IGBT technology so while you gain efficiency you lose the high-frequency inductive hum of the older stepped frequency designs.

What makes the selection of the mk1 sounds more outlandish is the fact that there is a plethora of different trains in Japan (the country where the game was programmed) equipped with older GTO-VVVF equipment (similar to what I believe the mk1s have)

And that reminds me - the Canada Line cars aren't the only trains equipped with Japanese-made IGBT technology. The original white mk2s (and the AirTrain/Yongin variants) use Toshiba IGBT equipment (it's shown on the Toshiba Rail company website in the history section).
