I think you are being sarcastic about 4th Avenue feeling like a freeway, but unfortunately there are people in Vancouver that are blinded by their hate of cars to seriously state so. It is scary how common sense has completely left some people.
I am personally not for this project or at least it doesn't get me excited one bit, being so mundane.

While I wasn't being sarcastic, I admit freeway was a poor choice of words, though in my defense this is a web forum not a college paper. Regardless, I think it's fair to say this stretch of W 4th Ave currently provides an extremely inhospitable environment for pedestrians, and could be improved for all users.
I'm surprised at the mundane comment, given there hasn't been any building forms reveled, but each to their own. As for me, the location alone is enough to stir excitement, and considering the site layout, it's hard to imagine the architecture won't live up to it.
