After two years, I wasn't sure this was still happening. The skyline west of the CBD will be filling up nicely between this, Moon and the M+M proposal at 400 Albert. Other than Cathedral Hill, there's been little change to the CBD/Escarpment skyline over the last 30 years.

Hopefully its for this project and not something else unrelated. I have no inside information confirming this lol. Just happened to walk by and saw fencing all around the perimeter and an excavation truck

Pile Drilling underway. This new tower will greatly improve the skyline coming from portage bridge in my opinion. Glad to see it go up

This will be a terrific development. Great use of the space and should be a nice addition to the skyline. Architecture isn't earth-shattering but still looks really good (Hobin has never really disappointed in my opinion).

The only thing I don't like is the weird "dog-leg" looking appendage sticking out of the southwest corner. To me it makes the massing look wonky from the west and really just looks very weird sticking out like that.

Looking forward to seeing this one to completion. Quality project at the fore-front of the skyline.

That "dog leg" as you call it is unfortunate, but at least its at the back.

Walked by today. Still early stages, mostly doing delicate digging around the surrounding historic buildings.

Anyone knows who owns the last undeveloped lot on the block? (Corner queen and bay). Is it the Lutherans? They could build another cathedral hill there.

Meanwhile, the Trebla building is continuing work converting from office to residential. Library is coming along at the edge of the flats. At some point OCDSB needs to get moving on the Ottawa Tech redevelopment, which I assume will include some affordable housing too.

I don't think so. I do think they are removing some windows to create inset balconies. Going from memory of a plan i saw.

They only dug a few feet since my last shot in April. World's slowest excavation.....

Looks like excavation is more or less done and they are in the process of pouring the base for the crane. Finally!
