I am extremely disappointed with how the façade turned out. Very bland for this "innovative" district.

Haha! I agree. Looks horrible. That can’t be the final product. I hope not.

It's bad. Luckily it just adds density to Novus and doesn't front Scottsdale Rd.

I'll never understand how prison windows appeal to developers. The Valley has some of the most beautiful skies in the country, and no one really wants to feel caged in.

Ohhh boy!!!! This website has more pictures of the development. Looks like that’s how it’s going to look. I was hoping they would add a metal or stone facade on the exterior.

Place looks like Hassayampa. What on earth?

The facade on the ISTB7 is also dreadful IMO. What’s up with ASU being notorious for buildings that are all over the place. I mean I don’t think you need 100% consistency, but gosh.

Totally agree ASUSunDevil. Has like a quasi mid century modern flair. Love it.

ISTB7 ... it's not going to keep looking like that? The beige is awful, the windows are ugly, the massing is less interesting than feces... if it keeps that black and those bare concrete columns I'm going to go over to the architect's house, steal their crack pipe, and stomp on it.

It looks like a 1980s foot spa from that angle.

Lol, good line. Fortunately, only King Kong and the Jolly Green Giant will have that view

The rendering very clearly does not match the photograph with ISTB7. That cheese grater facade above the LRT platform is shown as a random array of windows and it instead turned out like Wyndham/Renaissance v2.0--I can't unsee it. I'm not crazy about the style they attempted although it might have its fans, but the sloppy execution totally biffed the concept nonetheless.

That Piedmont rendering looks like Plaintiff's Evidence #1 for a contractor lawsuit. That has to be the worst EIFS job I've ever seen on a finished project

It looks like a 1960s concrete box. I don’t get it, but it is what it is.

I liked the original ISTB7 design. I think the current design was a big downgrade but it’s still a unique interesting building. Better than nothing.
