Wow! Great news!

Will this be where the Post Office is located or where they've been keeping construction materials for Phase 1?

Is that a see-through pool in the ceiling? It looks like water.

No other picture ATL3k put on his twitter showed the property as only consuming everything on the left of the block plus a skinny parcel in the center abutting crescent. The two corners of crescent are not part of the property

Selig is already marketing the project in the retail brochure for 1105.

I also noticed on that image that Selig owns a significant chunk of area between 12th and 11th street on West Peachtree across from the post office development site. Exciting times!

Would be great if they went heavy on the retail and made it one of those vertical urban shopping centers that you see in cities, especially in other countries. One can dream.

Phase 2

This looks really great and would be transformative for Midtown if built as rendered here.

I agree. Sadly, I think Atlantic Station killed any realistic hope for serious retail in Midtown proper for years to come. It's mostly just restaurants, restaurants, restaurants... Which are great, but not when such a huge proportion of the mix.

Midtown should jockey for an H Mart.

Maybe this can bring some much need medium price range retail to Atlanta urban core. This is one of the main things we are missing in the urban core

Atlanta Business Chronicle with the breaking news
  • Now 470,000 sq ft from 150,000 previously
  • Google to occupy 19 floor of the bldg and have signage rights

The rendering above should put that to rest...
It's unfortunate, it would have looked good to see the bracing down the entire side.

Or a Zion Market, Mega Mart, Assi Market, Namdaemun Market. They're pretty similar.
