The cycling and pedestrian traffic can get super intense in the summer, and over the years I have seen numerous crashes and collisions, although I have never seen anyone go over the edge. During busy periods, you definitely need to stay sharp.
If you want to virtually experience the Stanley Park seawall, here are two 4K raw footage videos of its entire length. The major caveats are that the pedestrian-shot video starts out in the morning, and the bicycle-shot video is shot on the first unofficial day of Fall and starts out in the morning too, so neither video comes close to capturing the seawall's peak pedestrian/cycling intensity. Despite that, both videos still give the viewer a decent glimpse of how unique and special the Stanley Park seawall is in general, and both videos end in English Bay, Vancouver's downtown urban beach district:
