not huge on the stripes but the unitized facade means this should be clad relatively quickly. A crew of two workers can install about 15 units per day.

At least the glazing appears to be of good quality - the new render is looking a bit darker looking though glass wise - should be interesting to see how the final product turns out.

Glazing is waaaaaaay darker than I expected and hoped for, so a bit disappointed, but it's capless curtain wall so it's still a treat compared to the glazing we usually see. Also, considering the glazing going up and other construction progress, they must have some claim to being essential construction...

My understanding was any construction started before Jan. 16 was allowed to continue just can't start new projects

Glazing's a touch dark for the window tint, but this building actually looks better than some of the others being constructed by Mr. V down the street.

You're saying that like it's a surprise. Darko builds like crap. I'm honestly impressed Marquee looks as good as it does. Not perfect by any stretch but significantly nicer than Queen and King.

I like it. No complaints from me. I typically lean towards the dark. Great reflections!

Drove by today and took a quick peek... the glass does seem dark, but once it covers the whole building the reflections will be really nice.

Yeah the pictures don't do it justice.. its very.. very reflective up close.. you're basically not going to notice any building elements just pure.. reflection.. it's hard to judge it right now, when it's done it should be interesting to see how much of the building itself you notice. When those pillars are boxed in it might add some much needed contrast to just all the dark reflection.

As you can see the original image is.. deceptive.. it lets you partially see through - you probably won't be able to see through at all... althouuugh lights on inside maaay change that.. we'll have to see. The capless curtain wall definitely helps to make it appear more seamless - this could have been botched horribly for sure.

I'm just happy they're building something on that corner that isn't covered in cheap stucco.

True enough.. the choice of building finishes these days leaves a lot to be desired..

The extreme contrast of this building right next to the embassy's historic architecture reminds me of something you'd see in London England.. I really enjoy this ... especially in the downtown core .. I believe that there are highly reflective panels mixed in with transparent panels and that will break up the monotone feeling of the dark opaque look

At least at the end of the day, its a far more appealing looking building than what was there before and the scale is great for Gore Park.

I think another two or three floors could have worked with this too.
