So do eSports. The amount of focus and mental preparation is equal to that of any other sport. Yeah, they sit down the entire time, but so do athletes in motorsports.
Ottawa simply doesn't have the financial backing or support in its local eSports community to warrant any sort of facility at this point. Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal are the only real options at this point for something this large-scale. eSports events can use convention centres and hotels for a lot of their events at current scale, with specific events able to slip into larger arenas.
