Interesting angle. You can really see the lasting influence of the old airport overlay, with buildings up to a certain height, and no more. That will change over time, but for now, those buildings along 111th/109th retain that look and feel.

As a Calgarian, I'm so jealous of your tallest. Gives it a Chicago type feel. Our skyline is so plateaued. We needs to have an extra tall one like yours.

Man that vertical orange stripe on Stantec drives me nuts - it looks like plywood. Why isn’t it glass to match ?

It looks terrible. The whole tower design is very mediocre and lacks the grace and finesse you'd expect from a building so tall and visible.
Even its basic fin lighting gimmick didn't come to fruition.

At the very least, it helped dramatically change Edmonton's skyline; so it gets a pass.

There's greater visibility of Edmonton's skyline because of the Stantec and JW towers.
From the east, it can be seen as far away as the Josephburg exit on Hwy 16.
From the north, it can be seen as far away as Bon Accord, Morinville and Riviere Qui Barre.
From the west, it can be seen as far away as the Beach Corner area on both Hwys 16 and 16A.
From the south, it can be seen as far away as EIA and Hwy 19 near Devon.
