It's a shame that 1105 blocks the view of Promenade in this shot - ultimately the better looking of the two.
I hate that 1105 got the last minute "balcony butcher" job. It was more of a signature building with a particular design theme before the alterations.

I love that midtown has gotten to the level of density that new towers going up are blocking views of the existing ones. Density = vibrancy

Agreed 100%. Midtown is looking really dense in this shot. And it's only going to get better as new projects break ground this year.

Agreed!
At least plant something where it will fit... and of course maintain it after it's installed.

Eh while I wouldn't object to some greenery, crossing that bridge brings spectacular views of the skyline. I can't say I'm ever sad seeing that view.

Sure, if you're going east . Going west isn't as pretty.

I walk it and it’s horrendous and awful in the summer. There are plenty of places to view the skyline. What’s important is the functionality and usefulness. The bridge fails in that aspect for pedestrians and bikers!

Very true. Again I have no problem adding landscaping and trees. Its just when I think of that bridge I think of the view and not the depressing concrete emptiness. It'd be great if they added nice trees on the east side of the bridge, but it would be fine if they added them to both sides.

At least one of the cranes is coming down this morning!

I'm anxious to see if the lighting treatment shown in a January 25th photo by teeinatl is going to be repeated on the entire tower.

I wondered why there didn't appear to be any progress in removing the crane for the last 2 days. I hope all goes well!

I just noticed in the picture that they ARE actually installing the "X" bracing on the North side of the building after all. There was some debate about this subject earlier in the construction phase because it was noted that the builder started the South side "X" bracing early on in the construction process - as the floors progressed. They seem to be taking the opposite approach on the North side, starting at the top and working their way down the side.

Looking at the brackets that hold the poles, I believe this is all that will be installed on the north side of the building. The lowest corner brackets would look similar to 1/2 of the center X bracket if there were lower floors to be installed. I hope I'm wrong...it's been known to happen.
