What if I told you this building is RLA too? There are 5 buildings built or proposed by Westboro Station designed by RLA: this one, 2050 Scott, 1960 Scott, and the two 319 McRae buildings behind 1960 Scott. They get a lot of big work...

At least the one by Granite Curling Club (can't find the thread) and 2070 Scott are by different firms.

I wouldn't be surprised. I honestly can't keep up with it, and now they are throwing a pinch of habanero into every 19th building they design. I'm exhausted.

Has this one been approved yet? Are we expecting construction to start soon? I'm really looking forward to this one, the Lofty building and the one at the corner of Churchill. Some amazing designs and good height.

Not quite yet, but they're on 3rd submission so it's down to the details now. I would anticipate approval very soon. Neuf has taken over from RLA and the building has a fresh look I know a lot of people here will appreciate.

Thanks for the update. So the latest submission is just about the same design as the one released in April 2020, based in the elevations. For sure a big step up from the first proposal by RLA.

Well, it looks like the windows have been rearranged in the east and west faces of the tower. The center balconies on the north face are no longer staggered. The west face of the low-rise portion (Building B) seems to have longer balconies than before.

Hadn't even noticed the staggered balconies on the second submission. Odd choice that did not go with the style. Good call removing them.

I wish the design review panel meetings were streamed live on YouTube.

I can't wait for all the construction to be finished.

Yes, I know I will be a really old lady by then. The LRT is slipping behind, originally when my husband was 65, then me at 65 and now who knows. At least in a few cases the construction of the towers will happen along with the disruption of the LRT so we might get Scott back a bit faster.
