Not long ago I found that angle from Yaletown to be quite bland, but now it is one of my favorite urban skyline views in Canada.

Wow, that is a great Yaletown picture! It took me a split second to realize it was Vancouver - definitely a break from the glass condo look.

Also nice Kamloops pictures, it’ll be interesting to see how that city evolves. I also wonder why Nanaimo never took off like Kelowna - not in terms of population growth, but downtown development and density.

The Toronto pictures are other worldly.. is that even Canada anymore?!

Kamloops is kinda in the middle of nowhere, but it has a lot going for it.

I used to think that about Saskatoon - I'm still blown away by it's tremendous population growth the past couple of decades, especially after the provincial growth was so stagnant before.

Exactly where is this shot taken from? I realize it's metropolitan Toronto, but I can't figure out the perspective. What is that body of water in the middle background??

^ It's Humber Bay which is part of Lake Ontario and that is Queen St. below. I'm guessing the image was taken from Massey tower although not 100% sure. You can see the spire of the Canada Life building in the bottom right so it would make sense though.

That is quite a disorienting shot. My guess would be Lake Ontario, Humber Bay Skyline and the Mississauga Skyline in the background. Taken from, the Entertainment District?

amazing shot. Only Toronto, alone among Canadian cities, conveys that feeling of hugeness, with skyline after skyline looming far into the distance (and these are "only" secondary skylines)

Not just our "niceness," it's also Canada's gothic side that distinguishes us from Americans.
