Looks like the design on the first tower changed vs. what was originally proposed.
The front in the render seems to be floor to ceiling glass in almost all of its entirety. However, pictures show a few strategically placed windows now and aluminum panels? Or will that be covered with brick as well?

The Canada Post HQ building at Riverside/Heron is actually a 13 storey building, but the floors are numbered european-style: G, 1, 2, 3, .... 12. I always assumed this was to avoid having the executive offices on the 13th floor!

It's strange that they are changing the name when the first tower is near completion. The choice of "The Dale" is even stranger. I keep seeing Dale Gribble.

Name choices for the second tower:

The Boomhauer
The Propane and Propane Accessories
The Boy Ain't Right
The Dammit Bobby

Maybe it's pronounced Dalé and it was meant to attract Pitbull to Ottawa?

Some great shots on Reddit this week, including this one from Pimisi:

I love the design of this tower, particularly the roof detail. It makes a positive impact from many areas along the parkway. I actually think it is too bad there is going to be a twin as it looks great as a standalone currently.

Will both towers be referred to as "The Dale"? Perhaps tower one could be "The Park" and second tower "The Dale" for Parkdale...

This building is so plain and inoffensive. It doesn't stand out, it isn't ugly, it is just there. The materials look to be a couple levels up from whatever comes out of the Claridge odds and ends storage. I'd take more of this any day over the Lahey garbage that is sprouting like Purple Loosestrife.

I was out at the Zibi viewing platform this weekend (the falls are amazing at the moment, btw), and this building looks absolutely massive when heading down the parkway from the War Museum. It's not going to win any awards, but there is evidence of some effort to make it distinctive, and it's a solid addition to that area.
