there is a change to the restaurant that is going in this space, it was previously a Japanese pork cutlet place called Saku, it is now another location for Hello Nori, they are also opening locations on Robson Street and Park Royal.

Not at TAB but nearby saw a coming soon poster for a Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba restaurant at the old HSBC spot in Madison Centre.

I wonder if Saku is still coming to Brentwood in another spot or if they pulled out

Use the image tag (the icon looks like a picture with a mountain) instead of the link tag.

For clarity, Towers 4 and 5 have not started construction yet, that's why opening (completion) is so far off.

agreed.

Walked by the existing showrooms and they haven't even changed it or moved in new furniture. Which means marketing hasn't started for it yet. And they aren't going to break ground in this market without any sales.

It sucks if you're not a morning person. Sometimes they start early as 6am Monday-Fri. Not as bad during winter with the windows closed, but when it's warmer and I'd leave the window cracked open overnight they'd wake me up most mornings.

I face East T1, it's probably less of a problem for the other directions. Anything facing the mall area is probably loud.

Not sure if either of those might be rental towers (in whole or in part).
That would also hinge on how well the other rentals have gone.

Oh as in the construction on the Mall area? Fair enough. Though I would imagine the higher up you are reduces the noise if I had to guess. Also the construction should slow down as they reach completion right?

Also, for anyone that lives/owns in Brentwood 1/2...can you rent out your parking stall? Seems like kind of a waste if you don't have a car to leave it sitting there, especially when there may be people in the building that need a parking space.

Love this pic - This is now the 3rd project in Metro Vancouver that excavates all around skytrain guideway pier foundations (the others being Aquilini South Tower and city of lougheed)

this spot had no signs indicating what was going in, but there is now store signage for wo-mens club, it's a high end brands clothing store. There are stores also at Park Royal and Metrotown. https://www.themensclubfashions.com/

The interior looks to have been completed a while ago.

It is definitely very interesting to see excavations around Skytrain columns. It is rare to see an actual load cone/pyramid right out in the open like that. [Instead of erasing, I will just correct myself]: The foundation of the guide way columns goes deeper - right through the conical pile of soil. The true load bears below that . . . but what we see is still the shape the load would be taken up by.

(City of Laugheed did not excavate beneath the guide way. The project is beside it, which runs in the centre median of North Road. 567 Clarke+Como came close though: right at the corner.)

... and Aquilini South was around viaduct piers, not SkyTrain.
