^ You could almost mistake it for Vancouver in that photo, no?

In Vancouver, the forecast is for a week of rain, with highs ranging from 6°C to 9°C, and lows from 4°C to 7°C. Nothing unusual.

Ugh winter is definitely coming. -4 this morning on my car but little wind and some warmth still in the sun. My windshield wash was freezing, though.

South Park Street. This entire block has buildings of a similar stature. Missing just to the right of the image is the Lord Nelson Hotel (yes, that Lord Nelson, the one from Trafalgar).

+4C in Moncton at 9 AM and raining.

It is official. I will have escaped December in Moncton without having to use my shovel or snowblower once.

Seasonably cold tomorrow (-3C) and sunny. Saturday however will bring snow, and I might finally have to wield my shovel for the very first time this winter.

That HFX pic reminds me, fittingly, of a near-core park in Edinburgh. I forget where I was but there were definitely lots of university buildings around.

Cloudy, some sunny breaks, and -1 at just before noon. Should make it up to 0 today, with rain starting sometime this evening.

This is a very strange weather pattern setting up so far this winter. Looks like NS/NB is going to get hit with another snow storm on Saturday that is expected to completely miss NL. Second time this season so far. Very odd pattern, but I'll take it.

I think Nelson BC was named after Lord Nelson. There was the Lord Nelson hotel or bar plus their middle school was called Trafalgar so.

Nice, but huh? How does Cobourg's geography allow for a sunset shot like that?

There's a window of a few weeks where the sun sets to the southwest. Right over Hamilton by the looks of things!

Is the Lord Nelson Hotel any good?

A shame Halifax's modern condo architecture isn't as good as those buildings in Edinburgh.
