the tower being so much narrower than the other P&M towers makes it look quite tall and imposing coming from the south over the Main Street bridge

I agree. Overall, I'm super happy with how it's looking. Compared to new developments happening in other cities like Toronto and Vancouver this could look a lot worse.

Also, once it's done, is Winnipeg going to be the largest city in Canada whose tallest building is residential? I like the idea of skylines being more residential and less office so I think it would be a pretty cool title for WPG if true.

Depending on your views of the CN tower, Skytower in Toronto may take that title and is purely residential from my understanding

I love this new tower. I believe The Bell-MTS @ 333 Main Street is similarly narrow ? @ 24 floors & is is a major tower. Another one, although less tall and not recent @ 13 floors is the Former National Bank tower 191 Lombard/ 387 Main St. Had MB Hydro built similarly, we would have seen a 65 -70 floor tower. Yes..275 Portage ave, Kensington Tower is also narrower.

You should have gone around with your measuring tape and checked, BEFORE posting. You knew this was a tough audience, Jeff.

No point in living on the top floor. You can't see nothing.

kinda hard to tell what type of progress has been made this past week or so. Looks to me like its mostly glazing? I suppose they are preparing for the crane to be raised once more..?

Nothing. The whole site has been off since the 24th except for a few skeleton crews.

Quite amazing how long this project is taking. I believe the new CIBC square in Toronto broke ground after 330 Main, and is now topped out, fully cladded and near competition all while being 100M taller, and larger all around. Meanwhile, 330 is only half cladded and is about ~25 m away from topping out. Not to mention the foundation was already basically complete from ground breaking.

They haven’t even started drywalling suites on the third floor yet. This project is the worst managed I have ever seen in my entire life.

It appears as though floors 10 and above have been dry walled.
