^ Yeah. The Toronto skyline definitely has more heft and bulk to it which isn't bad, but now everything melts together into a mesh blue-green glass and the only distinctive building is the CN Tower. Really, it needs 3-5 buildings >320m to create some serious peaks out of the dense core like the modern and post-modern bank towers did from the '70s to the '00s.

I can't stop looking at these. So much going on. They look quite recent too.

West end Ottawa from the base of Parliament Hill (new heating/cooling plant u/c). The view should change significantly over the next 5 years with a dozen+towers proposed or u/c within walking distance of the Confederation Line.

Looks like it's a two year old image, pretty nice.

That's a great view in Ottawa....wow. I'm intrigued by how much it'll grow.

The Southam Building is such a beauty, like something out of Manhatan. I don't remember seeing anything else quite like it in Canada.

Yeah it’s really something. We only havd 2 or 3 of those in Montreal, luckily they are in great shape compared to some other old buildings in Old Montreal.

Canadian cities weren't very big during that era (1900-1930) so, quite predictably, the demand for large, grand buildings was small. Likewise, it's no surprise that it was New York and Chicago that built the biggest and grandest examples as they were the 2 biggest cities in Canada/US back then.

Our big growth spurt is happening now. If it had happened 1900-1920, Canadian cities would have tons of buildings like that.
