Looking at the menu - it looks like the usual pub grub. Nothing there to entice me food wise. Looks like a State and Main menu.

That's a real shame that is.

They had good food for those of us who are omnivores, but more importantly provided variety and options to those with more particular dietary requirements and have a great spot over on 97st.

They should never have left Jasper Ave in the first place. Moving to the 97 St ghost town was a big mistake.

I am not sure, someone needs to make that initial move to 97 Street in order to attract other businesses.

It's going to take a lot more than just a vegan eatery to attract businesses to 97 St. The downtown farmer's market may help but it's not enough.

All it takes is one. While I think they could have made it under 'normal circumstances', unfortunately, the pandemic was the slice to the jugular.

to be fair, jasper avenue hasn't fared a whole let better when it comes to restaurants and food vendors.

I dunno, personally I find the Jasper Ave foot traffic to be better than what's been found on 97 St despite this past year's construction and the pandemic.

maybe... but you wouldn't know it from the number of closed establishments you're walking by.

Unsure for some places are putting paper over for the duration to limit crimes of opportunity or the like.
