What's happening on the Main St sidewalk? Are they putting up something to cover the sidewalk again?

From imgur. when youre on the image, click huge thumbnail at the bottom, then copy direct link.

Then on ssp, click the yellow image thing when posting and paste in the link.

An easy mistake to make with imgur is the post the directory instead of the picture... you can't just link to the directory, it needs to contain an actual image with extension ending in .jpg, .gif or whatever.

In Imgur, copy the BBCode link, then paste in the comment section of SSP and post.

I feel like I post this same complaint over and over but — that canadinns spotlight is so — tacky, what a blight on the skyline.

If they proposed putting an electronic billboard that size on the side of the building it would never in a million years get approved, why is this allowable

No trying to be sarcastic here (which is kind of a first for me) but has anyone in this group tried to petition the city to make the by-law changes necessary to get rid of this? yes, I know getting the city to move on things can be like pushing a boulder up-hill, but it seems most of us dislike the spotlight (when it's not a bat signal, that is). I don't doubt there are others in the city who feel the same way. Does anyone here know if anyone has tied to look into changing the by-laws?
