I think you have this confused with 999 Playa Del Norte. I can't find give any indication this was going to be Mortenson's HQ.

Darn! The Beam looked like a unique project. I was really looking forward to that one. But at least something is getting built.

Unfortunately between the Grand/ Mill and Rio/ Novus/ Watermark/ SkySong/ 101 and 202/ etc... I think it's getting harder for smaller Class A developments to get off the ground. I agree the Beam would've been an interesting project and shifted some workspaces away from those clusters but I guess with there will be more competition if that Depot next door gets built.

I wonder if the smaller office project across from the Yard is dead as well or maybe will shift to apartments too? Would've been nice to have one Office development on Farmer come to fruition to add some balance to the area.

Good pics.

I have to wonder if it's California's strict water-quality construction standards that causes that straw batting to be placed around construction sites in neighboring states by default or whether there's now some requirement for it in Arizona.

I hope ISTB 7 doesn't end up looking like a beige cheese log.

Was just about to post this! Can't wait

Grabbed this from the ASU Gallery. Little bit more detailed proposed map layout of what to expect in this block of the Novus Corridor. Don't remember seeing another proposed hotel just south of the Packard Drive South Parking Garage.

Man, they are shoe-horning in a building in every sliver of available land! This is going to be dense. That hotel spot is an eyesore currently, so I hope they move fast on it.

X Tempe - old skyview site

According to the development tracker, X tempe is in review for entitlements! We may actually get a high-rise at this location.

Does anyone have more info on the X Tempe project? Is that similar to the one downtown? I was wondering what they were going to do with that plot of land.

Why are they pulling permits for The Beam if they are going to rezone the site for apartments?

Must not be up to date, probably just hasnt been removed.

In other news, Atmosphere high-rise is topping out and The Pier finally has one floor fully poured I did see a whole crew of workers crawling all over the site so maybe this will start to move..

100 Mill is gonna be a great addition!

I hope we see plans submitted to the city soon for South Pier. It looks unbelievable that first tower and Ferris wheel! Definitely will transform the lakefront even more if it moves forward.

Did we ever get plans submitted for the office project directly to the East of Marina Heights? I recall it had some decent height to it...

Speaking of South Pier.........

The Pier has now started pouring columns for the second floor. This is a big deal guys. By this time next year, we will be on floor 4!!!

When is the estimated completion date at this pace? The plan calls for two 24 story buildings... there has to be at least 36 more months of construction. Maybe Q1 2024?
