No. What IS strange about it - the whole street level frontage looks awkward at best and is really poor design at its worst. With no canopy to cover doors or and articulation it reads: cheap strip mall. How low can ONE and Katz Group go? Here you have the answer.

Relax.

It will look similar to what's there on the Stantec ground level.

It looks like the second floor of the Loblaws overhangs over the first floor, thus virtually creating a canopy. Not apparent due to the angle. There's a canopy on the northern section.

And so it begins...

The UofA has sold the empty lot on 112st and 84 Ave for $5mil to a multi-family redevelopment company.

They have also listed Newton Place for sale.

Expect more of this from the U as it gets back to its core and tries to find ways to generate some $.

----

The former Omega 2 site on 104st/98ave is for sale for $3.75

Is the 112 St. and 84 Avenue parcel the current surface parking lot at the southeast corner of 83/84 Ave and 112?

News to me. Did the UCP also hand over $4 million of our taxes to the World Juniors too?

I don't think there is any money left after they bankrolled Keystone (moved out of Canada and now a USA firm) with 6 billion backstop and gave them free 2 billion. Jason Kenny is quite the big spender giving away taxpayer money.

$20m from Feds for 80 supportive housing units, one building in Wellington and the other near Mill Creek in King Edward Park. GEC is the architect.

What do I know - but that seems awfully high. The article says this is modular construction built off-site. I wish they could stretch the available dollars further by building more units.
