These are rental apartments, not condos.

guys guys... were missing the obvious truth here. This all started when they removed all the steel from the 13th floor because it was cursed.

Yup, anytime you remove structure you are asking for problems, do you know what they used in place of the steel?

HAHA..Just in case... This is a Public Service Announcement. A termite that can eat through metal is one of the main sources of the urban legends surrounding these destructive pests. Metal does not contain the plant-baTermites hate sunlight. In fact, they can actually die if they are exposed to too much sunlight and heat.sed cellulose that termites love so they are not tempted to eat it.

I can't tell if it is just the sun, but it looks like the core was jacked again. The last one before the crane rises a final time.

So people might not rent because there were a couple of loud bangs during construction? I think you overestimate how much knowledge the average renter has about this kind of thing. They'd basically only know about it if they read this forum.

There's so much — that goes on at every construction project. You will never know about it.

I think I'd be inclined to do a lot more research into the structure as a condo buyer, rather than a renter. I mean typically you rent for a few years and then you move on. It's not a major investment. Renters are concerned about building amenities, finishes, layout, location, etc. Not the nuts and bolts of the construction process, as mentioned above.

People can research all they want, but ultimately what they will find is that this tower was built with the proper permits in place, and at the end, certified for occupancy by the consultants responsible for the various aspects of the design.

That's it.

How many wolves huffing and puffing do you think it will take? Did any of the 3 pigs use concrete and steel?

If it falls over its either the fault of the electricians, or the crane/hoist guy - or possibly both

#FridayFunFact: The Richardson Building was the tallest in Winnipeg and tallest in Western Canada when built in 1970. 300 Main will be 20 meters taller, making it the tallest building in Winnipeg and the 44th tallest in Western Canada.

I hear a mix of crushed up rusted Mexican cars and wood from an ancient Indian burial ground - the normal 13th floor construction materials

Too bad this building doesn't have 69 floors. It would have been nice.
