Well I wouldn't exactly hate on the charlotte, the height bothers me but the arch is fine imo

The Claridge Plazas are terrible. We know Claridge can do it right based on Tribeca.

The towers u/c along Rideau today seem to all have good street interaction based on the renderings. We'll have to see.

As for the AC, I too prefer the podium design of the smaller rendering.

Is anyone predicting we still see tourism impacts when this would be completed?

I can see why there was a flurry of 160 George units for sale a few months back. Toss over some sugar to a different hotel guest each night.

If we can control the virus through vaccination, I think we could see a return to near normal. Even if people don't travel internationally quite as much, they may travel within their own countries more often. The new Airbnb rules should also help the hotel industry.

Looking at Google maps it looks like it. The two walls at the edge are the pizza place and the former Trudel HH in behind.

I thought so. Without Waller, that would have been a tight/awkward parking garage. Must have been part of the deal with the City; dig under Waller in exchange for improvements/re-opening of the Waller pedestrian mall.

These photos precede the last set... from Sept 27th. Do you see anything strange going on here?

It was a rainy day but not horribly so. I happened to walk by and saw the mini excavator here fishing out the concrete soup. Which goes underneath the base for the elevator shaft. Thank god for bedrock but if the building does tip over...

I figured this mini-ex would also have been rented that day and dropped in there. I don't think a machine that size has any business being in there otherwise. The 3 fellows were all brooming standing water towards the scoop. Couldn't help but chuckle.
