Wow. That's the best aerial shot I've ever seen of Ottawa. Impressive work Harley.

Yeah that photo is awesome. I love being able to see so many of the different projects in the city and how they are coming along, all in one go.

Super Amazing! Thank you.

You can see the airport no problem... and that soccer dome all the way at Greenbank and Hunt Club. Wow.

Wicked shot Harley! Best view of Ottawa in that it condenses the great wall of Claridge on Rideau into essentially 1 tower

What kind of drone and camera are you using for those shots? They look great!

I use the Mavic Air and the Mavic Mini where it's not legal to fly the Air. Both take excellent still photos, but the Air has RAW functionality so there is more post processing I can do.

You should try a similar shot from the eastern equivalent. Vanier perhaps?

I can only fly the Mini drone in Vanier because of proximity to the Rockcliffe airport and I wouldn't fly it very high, too much general aviation traffic, so it would be difficult to get a shot like this safely.

It's interesting that the architect's website says "At 65 stories and 262 meters (884 feet), 900 Albert will be the tallest building in the national capitol, anchoring the district on the skyline and creating a new visual link across the city."

Imagine if it was actually going to be 262? That would be only 10 metres shorter than Aura in Toronto, taller than Stantec in Edmonton, taller than anything in Calgary, even taller than the new 'tallest outside of Toronto' development in Burnaby.

The same page lists the shorter tower at 54 floors and the office tower at 27 floors however, so I would take it with a grain of salt. I think this plan went through many renditions before the final product that was approved.

Trinity Centre should break ground between now and the Spring, the new Central Library is under constuction, Claridge is poised to launch new condo towers on their parcel in the next few months, and a new parcel of Lebreton Flats is open to developer proposals now. Nothing concrete for a downtown arena yet.

It will be nice to see this project actually start, and the ground to be broken and the utilities infrastructure to start being built/added. It will be really something to see these buildings on the horizon from lots of different vantage points...
