Speeding is dangerous but we don't need speed limits.

Or maybe bring back the 7PM cheer to encourage people to wear massks.

There are limited exposure events at schools, very little actual transmission. The cases are being brought in from outside (private parties!).

Unless you have some real data, please stop with the fearmongering.

I'd love to see a "gag order" for release of COVID information in schools.

Okay, everyone knows the data locally is currently pointing at transmission in private households. But unless those people stay in their homes and have 24/7 parties don't you have to assume they'll eventually start spreading it in the general community?

Depends what they are doing "in the community".

Businesses that are operating according to the guidelines laid out by the BC CDC and PHO seem to be doing fine. 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 showing up sick and not masking up are a problem, how do you suggest we deal with that?

Again, with respect to schools, people are showing up with an infection they acquired somewhere else. Sometimes there is limited transmission inside the school, but the vast majority do not. We have had hundreds of thousands of students attending classes now for months.

Let's not pretend there's zero value to keeping schools open. It's not black and white here. I see you've backed down from your conspiracy allegations.

Recount confirms BC Liberals hang on to West Vancouver-Sea to Sky. Greens just have two MLAs:

Maybe she's lying though? Or maybe I'm lying? Or maybe you're lying.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, she works in the Fraser Health region too! It's so sad that she'd lie to me like that about the massive government corruption.

So a teacher did not go ICU. Nor have teachers been going into full classrooms. Everything is totally fine.

Surrey TOC: "I have been at a school on the day of an exposure twice now and neither time did I receive an email...One of the exposures was over 2 weeks ago... Had I been infected I could have exposed almost 600 students in that time."
@Fraserhealth @adriandix big fail https://t.co/PpntExh5BO

Until you provide the proof for "cover ups and gag orders" I'll just have to assume this to be true. I think it would be a pretty important story to tell the press if you've got the proof! Please stop denying the rest of the population your evidence so we can expose the government lies!

I'm willing to bet that more people in the school system (kids and teachers) will die of suicide and drug overdose this year. But I guess you don't care about those.

Sorry haven't been following the school system and Covid but is that because of how it transmits in kids? Or just the safety measures put in place?

Quote:
"If you were to send kids home right now and suspend school, public health would be very concerned that kids would be having playdates and all kinds of informal activities that would actually put them in an unregulated area of greater concern, which would be transmission that occurs in households.''

Again haven't been following how this is implemented in schools, but I guess they can just watch the data and see what happens. But I guess instead of extending Christmas break they shouldn't have a break this year.

Kids, despite being typical disease vectors for everything else, don't seem to transmit COVID nearly as much as adults. This is in part of course due to them also getting very mild symptoms or being totally asymptomatic.

The majority of detected cases in schools were brought in from elsewhere. There is very little actual transmission in schools, relative to the hundreds of thousands of kids going to school every day.

There is a distinct uptick in older kids (high school aged), but again probably due to their age and the nature of COVID rather than what they are doing.

Distancing and other measures help a bit, for sure. I'm betting overall illness in kids has gone down this year.
