Im loving the curvature on the glass on 95 State. Its kind of reminiscent of the street level glass curtain on the Salesforce Tower. Im excited to see more of it get installed down to street level.

I'm looking forward to watching the Kensington tower rise in that view.

Here are some photos from yesterday of the new crane at the 6th and Main site:

Blah_Amazing, this is really cool. On the Salt Lake City map, I noticed they missed a few projects that have been under construction for awhile, like The Olive, The Charli, The Beverly, The Harvest at Marmalade, the sister project to Central West. And they missed some planned projects like the Flats on 4th South, the Cinq, Salt Lake Crossing, the Moda Luxe, and I know there are more. Would bump up the new unit count quite a bit if they included everything.

Do any of our insiders have any info on the 255 South State Street hole? I thought I remembered an anticipated October start... Covid delay? Or is it simply cursed?

It should be starting soon. There is a motion at the RDA meeting today to increase the loan for Brinkshore due to increased construction costs.

I would expect that it would be approved and construction starting hopefully next month.

fastest growing cities

Salt Lake City, Provo, St. George not even mentioned. I don't give much credit to this just because of that. Maybe they are just using non-metro stats, but city proper stats, ie. Salt Lake's & Provo's city proper populations are pretty small when compared to metro areas of similar size.

There were a couple projects of note in that Berkadia report I hadn't heard of or knew nothing about. It says Seven O2 by PEG development is 662 total units. That's more units than anything else on the list, including Block 67. Nearly twice as many as the upcoming project on the Sears block and more than Hardware Village East and West combined. PEG's site says only 239 units so are there future phases in the works?

There is also Sydney and Slate in Central 9th which I hadn't heard about. 2 separate buildings, 275 units. That'd make it the biggest development ever to come to Central 9th, right? I was looking at the new developments in Central 9th around 900 S and 200 W the other day. Getting glimpses of what that neighborhood is in the process of becoming gets me excited about its future. It doesn't really show up in pics.

Actually Orlando posted this about Sydney and Slate months ago. Looks like a cool project.

Seven O2 is actually already under construction. It listed it as "prospective". I think that number of 662 is incorrect. Unless there is a planned expansion to take up the rest of that entire block. PEG listed is with only 239 units.

It might be a while, since one of the items on the next planning commission meeting agenda is a 1-year time extension request for the Kensington Tower.

The plan is still for construction to start Summer 2021. The CBDR extensions are always 1 year so I wouldn't read too much into it at this time.
