This is exciting news. Looks to be 267 Champlain Street. I did some research and nothing has come up regarding what is being built there!?? (Note: On NB Property Assessment Page shows 267 and 271 being part of 251 Champlain where UNI is?? https://paol.snb.ca/paol.html?lang=en&pan=06198330)
There is a lot of earth moving going on at the SE corner of Dieppe Blvd & Nathalie. Does anyone know what's going on here? It looks like something big.

According to a comment online, this building will be the first in the region to be built from "load bearing concrete blocks". If so, I imagine this means no tower crane, but we'll see...........

I was a bit skeptical of the ground floor retail myself when I first heard the rumour. Fairly nice looking building and I think appropriately sized for this neighbourhood. With all the residential development along Dieppe blvd., I wonder how long it will be until Sobeys pulls the trigger on their long-awaited Dieppe blvd. location.

Indeed, and the Fox Creek (Elan) apartment building right across Dieppe Blvd from 49 Nathalie is supposed to be getting a phase two at some point too. There is a growing cluster of apartment buildings on Dieppe Blvd. A new grocery store here may be coming sooner than you think.

It's load bearing blocks, the floors (in strips) will be pre-cast concrete and lowered on top of the blocks for each floor. There will be a crane but what kind I'm not sure.
The chef owns Tony’s Bistro and Patisseries on Elmwood, and his family runs it with him. Now, the Holdens are almost ready to open their new restaurant Atelier Tony and bakery Boulangerie Tony, at 50 Rue du Marché, across the street from the Dieppe market.

Rumour is a mixed use building, perhaps five storeys, ground floor commercial, residential above, and with underground parking.

It's just my opinion, but those big vents out the side of the building running up to the roof look like crap. Too bad they couldn't conceal them better. They make the building look industrial.

Yes, they do stick out rather badly. Maybe Festival Inspire, the mural people, can do something creative with them?
