The second crane is up and it looks so good on the skyline ...these 2 with the one on main showing development slowly inching eastward !

Seems like a bit of a small development for two cranes no? Does it have to do with the actual frontage being larger than a typical building?

It was hard to get close to the site to get a good photo of the real construction going on with many workers about, and it being a quite tightly knit perimeter.

These guys aren't wasting time; I think this building will rise quickly. Hopefully, they are working on their next project for Hamilton.

KIWI, 154 Main ST E and 1 Jarvis ST; that's a nice little triangle of development straddling Main ST & Corktown side across into the Village. I'd love to see that development stretch west past Wellington into no man's land of Wellington to Wentworth corridor, but that's probably a pipe dream.

The International Village is one of my favourite areas in the city and pre-pandemic was on the upswing (sadly lost a few businesses) but this area to me seems like a brilliant area for entrepreneurs with the incoming residents and extending the downtown corridor with its own vibe. The trees lining the street might be my favourite feature in combination with the light standards (also all the different buildings) and the fact you don't feel like you're going to get run over makes this area special.

I wouldn't call it a pipe dream, however, we're probably 15-30 years away from seeing your vision materialize.

I want to see all of the storefronts on Main, King, Cannon and Barton fixed similar to James st N and 5-15 storey residential built along the corridors all the way to Ottawa St. This way, all of Central Hamilton will have a more Downtown vibe especially with an LRT connecting Tim Hortons field to the rest of the core. Convert Main and King into 2-way streets too.

If this were to materialize, Hamilton can end up with a smaller scaled Downtown Toronto vibe. The Downtown core of Hamilton would be like Downtown Toronto up to Bloor St. North of Bloor to Eglinton would be like our Wellington to Ottawa St.
