I dug around. No permits issued, a lot of expired permits from 2-3 years ago that were for site prep - water mains, hydrants, etc. - but nothing lately.

If it's graded I am going to guess a for sale sign will show up soon. If they've broken ground then I wonder where the permits are, I searched every address in the block.

Project number 14-2455. Address is 1111 E Washington St. They’ve had a lot of permits filed earlier this year including a Plan Review: https://apps-secure.phoenix.gov/PDD/Search/Reports/PDDReport?PID=2750338&ReportType=PlanReview

Yeah because we need more parking garages downtown... Thank god it hasen't moved, hell most people on here don't even like the Berger proposal for the Hyatt Garage RFP especially because of the exposed garage.

Good article outlining how Phoenix construction starts are still firing off while the rest of the country is declining. Mentioned Pier 202 project and 100 Mill...

Thanks for the posts on pedestrian malls!

And I always love these photos you guys go out and take of the city. Since I just moved here this summer and trying to learn the city it is great to see all these buildings continue to be built. I feel like in the next 3-4 years the drone video before and after will be pretty incredible. A lot of the drone videos of downtown don’t even have Block 23 still. So to think with all these buildings going up and hopefully continued momentum in quality and height we will see a more vibrant downtown and skyline.

Great article from PBJ on Astra with nice rendering. Not in the position to post it now, if anybody has seen it you may be in a better position to post.

Article states 535' and 380'. I thought we were looking at 541' and 415' for Astra.

Everything we've heard and read was 540'. The article also said that there will be 3 ground breakings this quarter. Didn't say which ones but probably Central Station, Edith, and Garfield House.

It could be 535 +5 for mechanical.

The second tower was 415 but reduced back to 369 when it went for city approval. I wonder how/why the change or if the article is accurate

Nice pics, thanks for taking and posting. I think you should repost these pictures in the Phoenix thread in the City Compilations subforum. It's due for an update post.
