they were taking on a lot of extra costs to use that type of system. when they had all that money coming in, i mean why not? it may have had a better ROI because they were also expanding their airport a lot.
but without that terminal expansion i really don't think it is worth the money now. and i don't see how it would ever be without the terminal expansion going on.
but if the feds are going to throw that much money around, then it may end up back on the table. time will tell.
i didn't know about all the extra fees YVR was adding on to things though. like rental cars, etc. very interesting. no wonder they had so much money.
