Ya it's not too often I feel we see pictures of Calgary with the beltline as well.

Also as a side note it's pretty sad to have what looks like a train station close to downtown that's also adjacent to a golf course which looks like it has 0 people in it.

Great shot of Calgary. I feel like we don't often see the Beltline, and this one highlights the development of the last 20 odd years quite well.

When was this taken? I wasn't aware that cruises are still happening unless they are just sailing around to keep their crew members on board (or something).

Article is from March 13, 2020 and the photo looks like it was taken during Fall, so 2019 or earlier.

I had no idea that Saint John had so much cruise ship traffic. With such a stately historic (albeit a bit run down) core, I have to wonder why Saint John isn't one of Canada's busiest tourist destinations?

irving oil HQ has a much greater impact on the Saint John skyline than I had originally anticipated it would. Thanks for sharing the more recent pic Chad.
Also, the last Calgary pic you shared is gorgeous!!

I don't think that is unique to Saint John as it basically applies to the whole province. New Brunswick is the Rodney Dangerfield of Canadian provinces.......it gets no respect.

NB is often viewed as nothing more than the expanse you have to drive thru to get somewhere else. It's not viewed as a destination but rather just a place to fill up on your way to PEI, NS, and NFLD.

No. It was purchased by a private developer and this is part of the redevelopment. They did a reclad, added a bit onto the tower, and are building some new buildings around the base.

I'd guess that they'll be asked to tone down the lighting effect.
