Hmm, interesting. I guess we'll find out more about the site in the near future. Plans definitely look promising.

Good find. I pasted the image here for better presentation.

45 Stories is quite impressive height just outside the CBD. Very optimistic future this areas has. The zoning is currently for residential mid rise up to 2.5 FAR.

Especially impressive considering the immediate vicinity has seen a dearth of development compared with other neighbourhoods of city centre. Would like to see more development in this area (between 104th/108th and University Dr/KGB) in the coming years.

Going to Council for 1st & 2nd Readings on Monday.

Developer is Thind Properties.

I'm interested to know how they plan on excavating under the SkyTrain Guideway.

Thanks for posting.
Thind seems to be going tall in the suburbs.

Seems like they'll box in each of the Skytrain columns all the way down to P5.

Great to see Thind coming into the neighbourhood. They usually execute their projects in a timely manner.

Also, in the shadow study section of the Planning Report, the Concord lot across the street shows a curved tower shape. Excited to see how that looks!

^ Yeah, would love to hear any updates regarding the centre block developments. Hasn't been much noise about the area since the cancelation of the YMCA as a replacement for the Rec centre.

With about about 13,500 units confirmed in the pipeline, this means we can expect Surrey City Centre's population to essentially double in the next few years (26000 -> 54000). That's pretty impressive!

However, that would still put it at about 1/2 of Downtown Vancouver's population and density (both the Downtown Peninsula and Surrey City Centre have coincidentally almost the same area).

Hmm interesting.

Personally I am still waiting for all of the parking lots across from Surrey Central > KGB to get redeveloped into something. I think that those parking lots and lowrise commercial zones would be absolute gold to obtain and develop.
