Sometimes this thread goes many hours without a single post. Speak, if you want to speak.
I have no plans to win a contest on who gets out the least and has enough time on here to 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 the most.

What are you "disagreeing" with anyway? That you and Acajack are such fierce defenders of Trump in the current events forum is telling...

This is triply farcical. First off, posting more frequently in a forum does not imply posters are somehow hermits. And even if so, remember we're in a pandemic when in fact many people can't go out. And if you're so extremely busy as to be unable to read through every post, you don't have to, you're not stuck at a legislative hearing where you have to listen to filibuster speeches. Just click forward to the next page.

Secondly, just because someone declares a post to be "🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵" doesn't make it so. If these posts are advancing illegitimate arguments, as you suggest, then there's nothing stopping you or other forumers from arguing against them. This is a place for debate, dissenting ideas are supposed to be welcome.

And finally, there is no evidence that I've seen that lio and acajack are Trump supporters. Canadians aren't obliged to have an opinion on the affairs of other states. But more importantly, it's irrelevant. Looking favourably on a democratically elected leader also doesn't invalidate your beliefs (or make you deplorable). That is how democracy works.

"occasionally expressing reservations about incessant claims that Trump literally is Hitler 2.0" = "being a fierce defender of Trump"

Why are you using quotation marks if you aren't quoting somebody?

Occasionally? lol. I'm talking about the balance of your hundreds of posts about George Floyd's death and Trump, and the fixation on whataboutisms or "devils advocacy" to put it generously. We're not born yesterday here

The answer to "what's your aim in doing this?", isn't "well you can post more noise to drown out my noise".

I was actually paraphrasing myself in the first instance, and quoting dleung in the second.

I just looked at my posting stats, I average 6 posts a day. Let's say about one minute per post (some are going to take longer, but others, such as this one, less - and some are only a few words, i.e. taking only a few seconds), that means I have 23 hours 54 minutes available per day to do other things

This post is an example of your meaningless cluttering of this thread.

Actually it's squarely on topic for what this thread has been discussing lately - the fact that apparently there exist good and convincing arguments that we haven't heard yet and that could potentially be made, if only this thread slowed down its barrage of filibustering for a minute.

Case in point.

People who actually care about these issues generally don’t want to waste their time replying to or reading posts from those who don’t. Yes, the block does exist but the conversation tends to draw you back into the eddy of ignorance.

In the same sense, if you care about climate change you aren’t spending time in a Fox News comment thread.

Yea, I'd suspect they're in echo chambers. Might explain how they've been radicalized.

You're a walking-talking embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger Effect (apologies if I've assumed your mobility). Nothing is ever binarily good-bad, but inasmuch as one could assign an either-or in this conversation, it's clear that your race huckstering, regressive wokeness, aversion to facts and reason, willful mischaracterization of intentions, and, most importantly, utter inability to consider ideas outside of the narrow purview of SJW ideology make you the "bad guy" here.

You're not interested in a discussion. You just present approved talking points and throw hissy fits when someone has the temerity to question or disagree with them.

I keep saying that some people mistake this forum for something it is not.

It is not the Woke SJW Unanimity Forum.

Those do exist, but this is not it.

Thanks, tell me more about how Indigenous people were utter savages.

Maybe you should put that on your resume or talk about it at work, if you have a job.

Say something obviously racist in the public sphere with consequences and then see how far your rationalizations take you.

True, it’s more like a Fox News comment thread. I previously didn’t realize it had such strong proclivities in that direction. It is what it is.

It is actually quite balanced. That is what I like about it.

You and others have lost sight of what a balanced discussion is.

Almost sounds like a threat to "out" him and "destroy his life".

How very zeitgeist.
