That's too bad, I like that one for being a bit more unique looking.

It did what it was supposed to do at the time. End of an era.

Hard to believe I was on C2E even before SSP. Happy that we had it in the first place, but not sad to see it go, given the state it has become thanks to certain posters.

Yeah, it was fun at first launch, but not too long after there was a shitstorm about people hiding behind their online handles and not using their real names etc. I saw myself out

99 if I'm not mistaken. Before that it was Nalyd's Skyscraperpage or something like that.

would be nice if an archival format of the site could be accessed. I wouldn't mind throwing patreon dollars to keep it up. I recall we all pitched in a few years back for a new server.

Connect2Edmonton had a great 15 year run, especially at the beginning when all we had were complaints to the Edmonton Journal. C2E allowed us to take those complaints and invoke changes for the better. It was such a shame to see it end. However, I contemplated leaving C2E for ages as the forum was increasingly dominated by Connect2Trump and Connect2Kenney; the final straw for me was the server upgrade back in the late fall.

I will continue to lurk here on SSP, and post here once in a while. And I will lurk on SkyriseCities, where Daveography and company have done a fantastic job taking over the Edmonton construction talk from C2E and SSP.

Indeed, I am a big fan of Skyrise's forum format (much easier to post photos, as I never caught on with the photo hosting required to post on here, for example). I enjoy going back and forth between this forum and that one.

I enjoyed C2E for a number of years but in the last while it was just a fight against 3 or 4 instigators and so I quit it a few months ago, I couldn’t stomach them anymore. Always especially liked the informative construction posts over the years.

Park View, unless something has recently changed (which is possible), is to be in the ground later this summer.

I suspect that we might see action at the former BMO site on 101/102 with Regency.

Bateman has been/is being revised.

Hoping that we see Clancy go in 2020, but more likely in 2021.

The ALT + deal with MacKenzie is dead.

The Milner on 104st with westcorp is moving forward, but there is a lot of remediation to do.

I could see another office->rental conversion take place.
Which one is Park View?

From the noise I'm hearing about problems with Calgary's multi-res market, I've been curious how Edmonton's been faring in comparison. Westrich's change in tack might be representative? Maybe?
