The Lady Ada project is very nice and looks like something not from Moncton! Which is nice and not our usual 3 storey vinyl siding building!
This is something that you would see in Halifax! Keep them coming!

You can really see the difference in the quality of the architectural detailing in all three of these proposals designed by proper architectural firms. Why is it that no work is being thrown towards hometown Moncton architectural firms like Stantec or Architects 4?

I believe Cordova's Riverview twin towers and their soon to begin Charlottetown apartment buildings have also been designed by Lydon Lynch. Maybe the developers are using HRM architects as they have experience in designing several of these larger apartment buildings. I am sure mistakes in this business are costly.

To me all these buildings are ugly and all look alike. Too bad nobody is living in 2020. I love how that black labrador levitates and cast no shadow.

Maybe it's an add-on external walk-in fridge like they add on to Tim Hortons in some locations.

They are beginning work on the fourth floor of Emma Place. This large building is starting to become noticeable. Perhaps I will try and snap a photo on the way home from work today.

Status update on the small commercial building going up in behind the RBC & Second Cup at the Gorge/Mountain intersection:

They have managed to carve out a surprising amount of parking for this building on a tight lot. Also, commercial signage has gone up for the first tenant - ReConnect, a health centre for women with an emphasis on physiotherapy. The signage is well done.

They tore down the house at 2255 Mountain Road, looks like those 2 apartment buildings are a go. I took a panoramic picture, hope it fits on here.

They've also cleared a lot of land in behind, along the west side of Gorge Road south of the TCH. This certainly includes some of the land needed for this development.

At the meeting on Wednesday, the planning advisory committee recommended that council proceed with zoning and municipal plan amendments for the Cordova Twin Oaks project. No real surprise here. Currently this development has 8 buildings planned on undeveloped land with 2 having ground floor commercial. There'll be more than 500 residential units.

Cordova has a huge amount of development plans on the table.

Between Cordova and Ashford Moncton is well taken care of by two development companies that have excellent plans and have a far sighted approach to their developments. I’m excited for the future of the region!

Major players in the area for sure. Cordova has big Riverview plans, and Ashford will truly alter the look of our downtown if/when the new street south of Main gets built and developed.

I'm also wondering if the group behind the 55 Queen project are working behind the scenes on any future developments? They're obviously capable of big things.

The PAC meeting on Wednesday gave approval to PVC Home Builders for construction of 2 sets of four unit row-houses on Maplehurst Dr. Mountainway Developments Inc. plans to rent the units, but said they could possibly sell the units at some point in the future.

Those trees in front have been cut down, and there is heavy equipment on site with some earth moving happening, so there is little question that construction is going to begin soon.

If I recall, I am pretty sure they plan to build one unit in the first year, and the second building the following year, which would mean 2020 & 2021.

Given the size of these two buildings and the height (six storeys), I fully expect to see a tower crane..........
